How to Communicate with Your Spirit Guides

Introduction

Oooh fun! Actually, I frequently get asked this question. I’m really not sure why I haven’t answered this before. Oh well. I’ll rectify that now! How to communicate with your spirit guides you ask? I’ll introduce you to a quick and easy method of communication AND provide you with info all about Spirit Guides. Let’s start at the beginning.

What Are Spirit Guides?

That answer might seem simple, but Spirit Guides are quite complex. For the sake of all those reading this post, I’ll keep it simple. Spirit Guides are just that – guides in spirit form. A spirit guide can show up in many different forms. That means that they can be a human spirit, an animal spirit, an plant/tree spirit, an entity that is none of those (never has been and never will be) and so on. My main guide is actually one of the latter. I call it Greeno. Have you ever looked into the high beam lights of a car? Yes? Well, then you know what Greeno looks like – except that it’s fluorescent green. See the picture on the right? That color green…just much brighter. Greeno has no one specific gender, hence I refer to my guide as ‘it’.

Human beings are all born with at least one spirit guide. Think of it kinda like an auction setting – work with me on this analogy please. Before any of us are born, all the guides get to see the souls shortly journeying to Earth. Then it goes something like this, “Who wants to accompany this soul?”, “Don’t speak all at once!?”, “Who’s best suited?” “You? Why?” “You? Same question” and so on. This is done because the guide/s chosen at this time will usually accompany us throughout our entire life. It should be the best match no? This spirit guide loves you unconditionally. NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! No, I’m not yelling, just kinda really emphasizing that last point. They don’t judge you…ever. Realize that. Appreciate that!

Guess what? In addition to your main guide, many of us have other guides rotating in, and rotating out on a regular basis. This occurs because they want us all to have all the spiritual help we need. If we’re buckling down to start a a new business or school experience, then a guide who is more firm and studious might rotate in, while a guide that is very free and hippy like, might rotate out. So, if you’re feeling a new influence in your life, it’s very likely that you have a new guide to hang out with. How fun!

There are a couple of things about spirit guides you should know:

Personal loved ones can appear as guides, but from my 19+ years of experience, that’s not the most common; they are not the main guides, nor do they constantly stick around you. There are several reasons for this. One of the main reasons is that they want you to rely on your own judgement without feeling the need to ask them for advice about everything little thing.
Spirit guides can guide multiple people at once. Your main guide will usually be more exclusive.
Guides can be currently alive on Earth, yet guide you spiritually at the same time. That’s a special type of guide and not every guide can or wants to do this. I know that sounds wonky, but that’s another blog post.

How to Communicate with Your Spirit Guides

Okay, now that we’ve covered the ‘who part’, let’s talk about the ‘how’. I’m going to provide you with a quick and easy way to connect with your spirit guides. It involves a yes/no question, a specific timeframe, and a specific sign. Your guides are eager to talk with you. Trust me on that you. We’re going to boost that relationship now a little bit.

As written above, you’re going to ask a question. But before we do that, let’s come up with a sign.This has to be a very specific sign. People always tell me that they’ve asked for a sign, but don’t see one. The answer to that is simple – Spirit doesn’t know what to send. You might be looking for a yellow bird, but that doesn’t help if Spirit is showing you keys everywhere instead. You just didn’t tell Spirit. Let’s say the sign we choose is a turquoise car. When choosing a sign, choose something very specific, something you can’t miss. In the beginning, don’t ask for a song on the radio, a tv show, to see a particular book, and the like. Those are too complicated to start with. As your relationship with your guide grows, then you can use those signs.

Choose a timeframe. In the beginning, 24 hours is good. That’s just enough time, but not too much.

Phrase your question using a yes/not format. That way a sign can be easily shown to us. Let’s say you want to know if you should get a new pet.

Let’s put all that together. State who you’re addressing: “Spirit guides, please show me within 24 hours a turquoise car, if I should get a new pet. Thank you!”

Now you wait. If you see the sign you ask for, then the answer is yes. Don’t worry, you won’t simply have missed the sign. Spirit guides are aware that us humans can be dense sometimes, so they will make sure you’re shown the sign over, and, over, and, over, and over, and over, and over again. It can appear in many different formats. In pictures, tv, magazine, in person, pretty much any way you can think of. If you don’t see it, that’s a definite no. Trust me, even if your neighbor has a beloved turquoise car, for those 24 hours, a rental will take it’s place or perhaps a family road trip is scheduled.
